Our Purpose

RRUFF was founded in 2011 with a mission to provide a safe, enclosed environment for Rocklin-area dog owners and their companion animals. As the organization grew, so did our passion to support those who serve our communities.

In 2014, that passion led to the launch of Healing Heroes, marking a pivotal shift in our focus toward funding service dog training and mental health healing opportunities for Disabled American Veterans and First Responders living with PTSD and other invisible disabilities. For more than a decade, this has been the heart of RRUFF Healing Heroes and continues to guide our work today. For over 11 years this program has supported Disabled American Veterans and First Responders with Post Traumatic Stress and other invisible disabilities by funding service dog training classes and supporting other mental health healing activities.

The dog park continues to provide a safe place for service dog training for Guide Dogs for the Blind Puppy Raisers, AKC Star Puppy Classes, dog rescue group adoption days, dog meetup groups, and more. Since opening, thousands of pets and their humans have enjoyed RRUFF Dog Park in Rocklin.
