Our Mission:
Support and empower disabled veterans and first responders through canine-assisted therapy and other healing strategies.

Did you know that 17 veterans die by suicide each day? At RRUFF Healing Heroes, we're changing these statistics
1 Hero & 1 Service Dog at a Time.
We are reaching out because this May 1st is the Sacramento Community Foundation's Big Day of Giving, and we need local champions like you to help us reach our $30,000 goal. These funds will provide life-changing service dogs to veterans and first responders battling PTSD and other invisible disabilities in the Greater Sacramento Region.
Our Impact :
We've been matching heroes with hope since 2014 through our Healing Heroes Program. We have funded over $275,000 in service dog training programs, reaching over 200 heroes. We cover all training costs, dog acquisition, spay/neutering, and emergency veterinary care while in training. RRUFF is 100% volunteer-run, so more dollars go directly to our mission

Our Purpose
RRUFF HEALING HEROES is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2010 to provide a safe, enclosed environment for Rocklin area dog owners and their companion animals. Since then, thousands of pets and their humans have enjoyed RRUFF Dog Park in Rocklin.
The Healing Heroes Program began in 2014 . For 11 years this program has supported Disabled American Veterans and First Responders with Post Traumatic Stress and other invisible disabilities by funding service dog training classes and supporting other mental health healing activities.
The dog park continues to provide a safe place for service dog training for Guide Dogs for the Blind Puppy Raisers, AKC Star Puppy Classes, dog rescue group adoption days, dog meetup groups, and more.
Our Vision
Envisioning a world where every veteran and first responder finds healing and purpose
THE RRUFF DOG PARK IS OPEN UNTIL 10:00 P.M. DAILY
