Our Mission:

Serving Disabled Veterans and the Canine Community

Rocklin Residents Unite for Fido (RRUFF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 2010 with the goal of providing a safe, enclosed area for Rocklin area dog owners and their furry family members to enjoy time outdoors. The park is home to training classes for Guide Dogs for the Blind, AKC Star Puppy Program, Canine Companions, as well as a place for dogs and people with special needs. RRUFF has accomplished much more than building and maintaining an off-leash dog park. In 2014 the Healing Heroes Program was established.  This program funds the cost of service dog training and related expenses for Disabled American Veterans and First Responders with Post Traumatic Stress and other invisible disabilities.

RRUFF Dog Park

RRUFF Dog Park is located inside Johnson-Springview Park, located at 5480- 5th Street in Rocklin, CA. The dog park opened December 23, 2011 and has become a popular place for local area residents and their pets to play.

The park has separate sections for small and large dogs. There is also a 30 x 60 fenced Special Needs Area for dogs/people with special needs, and for service dog training, obedience training, rescue group adoption days, meetup groups, and more. In addition dogs can run through the agility course, play in the kiddie pool, or just hang out.

Our enclosed spaces are covered in 100% organic playground-quality cedar chips that give dogs a wonderful place to play while also providing a suitable ground cover that helps to preserve the gorgeous heritage oak trees that provide shade in the park.

In addition to the natural shade provided by the trees in both the large and small dog areas, the Special Needs Area has a concrete perimeter for wheelchair access, benches, artificial K9 turf and a large shade structure.

RRUFF Special needs area

RRUFF Dog Park is open every day from dawn until 10:00 p.m. and we are proud to be the only local dog park open 365 days a years, regardless of weather!

Our Commitment

We are dedicated to the canine community and to disabled veterans & first responderswith Post Traumatic Stress and other invisible disabilities. Both the RRUFF Dog Park and the Healing Heroes program rely solely on individual and corporate donations, sponsorships, memberships, and in-kind services. These are used to fund service dog training for veterans; to maintain and add amenities to the dog park, including ground cover. This work is performed by volunteers. There is no paid staff. We hope you will join us.

Together we can make a difference

1 Hero & 1 Dog at a time!
